Visitor says hundreds of Figure 03s are walking around the lab
Humanoid Scott says the robots behind the reflective glass were numerous enough to photo-bomb a group photo.
Humanoid Scott (@goingballistic5) says there are hundreds of Figure 03 humanoids walking around behind the reflective glass of a robotics lab. His evidence is a group photo. He says so many of the 03s were ambling about that they photo-bombed the shot, leaving @citrini Analyst #02 forever anonymous.
The visit came out of a Citrini field trip. Citrini says it sent an analyst behind the scenes of what it calls the leading robotics lab to see the bleeding edge in person, and published a framework for what it calls the coming wave of Physical AI off the back of it. Brett Adcock, Figure's CEO, posted a link with no text of his own.
Shown versus claimed
The hundreds number is one visitor's impression from a walk-through, not a unit count published by Figure. Nobody outside the building has verified how many robots were there, whether they were running autonomously, or what tasks they were doing while they ambled. The one piece of public evidence is a photo with robots in the background.
That matters because the interesting question about a fleet that size is not the headcount, it is the work. A hundred humanoids standing in a room is a manufacturing story. A hundred humanoids doing useful hours is a different story, and this post does not settle which one it is.
The context around it is familiar. Robert Scoble said earlier that Figure robots roam the company's headquarters without minders, which was also a visitor account rather than anything Figure released. The pattern is the same here. People who get inside come out impressed, and the rest of the field gets the impression rather than the data.
Citrini's own summary of the trip is bullish and unhedged.
So take the number as a vibe check from someone who was in the room, not a disclosure. If Figure wants the fleet count to land as fact, it can say the number itself.
