Did last year's NEO orders ever ship? One reply asks

A one-line reply turns a friendly post about NEO in India into the question humanoid companies rarely answer.

Keerthana Gopalakrishnan (@keerthanpg) replied to a post by dar (@radbackwards) about NEO with one question. Whether the units ordered last year were actually shipped.

The post she was replying to was not a product announcement. dar wrote that he loves India and its people and hoped they would accept NEO into the country whenever they were ready. Gopalakrishnan's reply was a single sentence asking about deliveries from last year's orders.

Orders versus deliveries

That gap is the one the humanoid field keeps sliding past. Taking orders or reservations is a marketing number. Robots in customers' hands is a different number, and it is the one almost nobody publishes. A reply like this one lands because the second number is missing, not because anyone has produced evidence that it is bad.

Worth being precise about what the sources actually contain here. Two posts. No order count, no delivery count, no dates beyond "last year", and no reply from dar in the thread as it stands. Nobody has put a shipped-unit figure on the record, so the question is open rather than answered in either direction.

Why a one-liner travels

Shown versus claimed is the running argument in humanoids right now, and this is the commercial version of it. Demo videos get picked apart frame by frame for teleop and speedups. Shipping claims get far less of that treatment, partly because there is usually nothing public to check them against. One researcher asking in public is not proof of anything, but it is the kind of question that only gets asked when the answer is not already visible.

If a delivery number shows up, the question resolves fast. Until then it sits there.
